"Faux" Brand Name Items

I don't know about you - but I think spending over $100 on a purse is CRAZY.
However I love love love Coach purses.

I now have 2 "knock offs" a Jimmy Choo purse my mom got me in NYC a couple of years ago, and a Coach purse I got from China.

I must say the Jimmy Choo is better quality - the liner is fabric and aside from the brand name thing coming off the front of the purse once I haven't had any complaints.
It also get ALOT of comments whenever I use it.

The Coach purse I got in the mail today - it was $70 ish bucks after shipping (my fiance got it for me for Christmas - apparently $300 on the real one wasn't happening).
It has a plastic-y feeling liner which makes a crinkle noise when I touch it.
Otherwise I think it looks nice - and wouldn't know if it was real other wise.

What's your take on knockoffs?

Glymm December & Glymm Stocking Stuffer Bags

So these are a little late in being posted - I actually got the bags in the mail last week.. Early last week? I don't remember.

Anyways, I think I am done with Glymm. Maybe I'll give it one more month but they don't wow me anymore.

This month's "bag" was a fun gold colour and I have been using the other few I have as pencil cases thus far.

The December bag contained:

Overall I suppose the contents are things I will use.
I would like the lash serum to last longer than just 6 weeks though, as that's when the results are supposed to show.
The false lashes; if I can get them on (I don't know if they'll last with the glue already on them) will be fun.
The palette has a couple of colours I like
The nail polish I have heard comes off really easily; maybe a base and top coat will help that.

Finally the "free gift" for not cancelling was just another sample thrown in; it's actually the thing I don't like the most.

Next I purchased the "Stocking Stuffer" bag.

I believe I am missing the Bert's Bees sample and have emailed them about it.
Overall I'm happy - the bag included a $40 gift card to the Glymm store so it was worth the purchase for $35 I spent on the bag.
All except the Lash card & the Cyberderm samples, the rest are new to me so that's fun.

Glossybox November

Again it seems I am near the first to get this month's Glossybox - and it is my last.
I gave it a shot but at $21 a month I wasn't wowed last month so I cancelled.

This month's theme is Christmas; the card talked about how this month's box contains goodies to get us ready to sparkle and shine.

Overall I was impressed with this month's box - it's total value was $62.75, and it contained 5 out of the six products were full size though the lip gloss looks rather small.

I am happy with pretty much everything in the box, I enjoy shampoo samples but it seems like every box is using them lately, and the body wash smells interesting.

Happy Birthday with a Cold

I haven't been keeping up with the blogging world lately.

I've since gotten the November Julep box & the November Glymm box.

Today is my 26th birthday and I am sick.. That's mainly why I've been so lazy about blogging.
I get home from work and curl up in bed and try to keep warm and get back the ability to breath outta my nose.

If I get on things I'll take pictures of the Glymm and Julep boxes and will post about them.

I also ventured down to Watertown for Black Friday and picked up a few things.. Only one real super buy (flannel sheets for $16) otherwise no real spectacular savings or exciting things.
White Peppermint M&Ms - are so good; wonder if these will come to Canada.

Topbox November

I think I signed up for Topbox back in August, so when I finally got my "The Wait is Over" email I was pretty excited.

However, Topbox is also raising their prices (seems like every box is) from $10 a month to $12.
Topbox is different than other beauty boxes because they actually ship things in a tube.
I received version # 4 - which I found out from the tracking info on Canada Post.

I don't know how to sign up for the environmentally friendly packaging but I think this tube is really pretty; I just have to find a re-use for it.
Maybe once they start piling up I'll switch over.

Glossybox October

I am usually searching the internet to find out what was in this month's box the second I hear it has been shipped - but this month it seems the blogging world didn't get their Glossy boxes early. 
Even on facebook I only saw someone write out the items in the simplest description - no pictures.
So I was actually surprised when I opened the box.

This month, Glossybox centered around Breast Cancer and had a little note from The Team.

This is also the first month that the new pricing took effect - a week ago, or two; they sent out an email saying that they were raising the prices from $15/month to $21. But to those already subscribed the first month would still be $15.

Overall I liked this month's contents - I wish I got a different shade of nail polish (maybe something more flashy). But I am happy with the shampoo samples and the lipgloss/lip stick combo. I am a loyal Venus razor girl and haven't tried these blades yet. I haven't decided if I am going to stick it out for one more month at $21. But I might.
